Event Invite:

In my 30+ years as a Tucsonan, I’ve been so fortunate to amass amazing friends who are the best collaborators – and I’m excited to cheers to my 50 years on Planet Earth with y’all! Let’s celebrate friendship + Scorpio birthdays + toast to my successful completion of grad school at Che’s on Saturday, November 8.

Featuring some of the best Tucson musicians performing with Leila Lopez and Greyhound Soul. Live music starts @ 7:30 p.m. Stay tuned for other delights and special guests!

(Thank you Jimi G. for the art!)

Post-event Appreciation:

Thank you so much for all of the love, kindness, hilarity, and hugs; this was such a meaningful and heart-warming celebration – and it is because of you being there in flesh and spirit! I mentioned to several how amazing it was to re-connect, to have fun – to laugh, to create & embrace joy – and how extremely important it is for our resiliency and momentous for the times we are living in. These are also modalities of resistance.

Too many of us are isolated, and feel alone in our pain and our struggles. It is vital to talk about how we individually hurt so we can help each other and our community navigate collective healing. Our lives are shared, and we need each other. That’s called love. It’s what our community is good at. We’ve got this. We’ve got each other.

Thank you for the reminder. I really needed it. You being there for me is more significant than I can express in words. It’s deep in my heart and soul.

Please know that I’m here for you, too.
