I’ve been digging into our shared experiences, and was excited to find this June 2012 article in Zocalo Magazine. You directed our collaborative solar oven building project – done in “the spirit of mathematical and culinary experimental fun!”
Your carpentry and geometry skills were spot on! My written translation of the math, less so.
But, I’m loving the last graf:
Scott remarked, “I guess it would have been easier and less time consuming to buy one online.” I replied, “Yeah, but what’s a better memory – buying one online or remembering the weekend we spent together building this thing, with a little help from our friends?”
