Manager, Program Innovation and Strategic Initiatives: U of A COM-T Department of Psychiary

August 2023-Present

I lead the development, implementation, promotion, and scaling of existing and future departmental initiatives that are in alignment with the College of Medicine – Tucson and Banner Health’s tripartite mission (clinical, education, and research). My role is to ensure the growth, expansion, and delivery of mental health education and services that connect with our dedication to social justice, anti-racism, and serving a diverse community.

Other responsibilities include supporting the chair in special projects, working with COM-T as the department’s development liaison, leading faculty recruitment efforts, overseeing strategic planning, overseeing event planning, as well as supervising and mentoring the multi-media designer.

I report directly to the Department of Psychiatry Chair Jordan Karp, MD.

Branding & Marketing:
• Implementation of impactful branding materials (logos, websites, digital and printed marketing literature, video production, reports) for the department’s Arizona Psychiatry Access Lines, clinical programs, educational programs, research labs, and social media accounts
• Direct editorial and visual content

Conference & Event Management
• Seamless production of high-impact academic conferences, including the Southwest Forum on Difficult to Treat Depression, Southwest Summit on Transference Focused Psychotherapy for Borderline and Other Personality Disorders, Psychiatry for Non-Psychiatrists
• Event assessment via reports on impact, marketing strategies, and ROI
• Production of the department’s Grand Rounds
• Internal events including faculty retreats, department-wide gatherings, faculty dinners

Writing & Editing
• Press releases on department programs, published research, grants, and public events
• Copy writing and editing for marketing materials: fliers, graphics, social media posts
• Newsletters, announcements, blog posts
• Grant writing and reports
