- Communicate the department’s accomplishments (research, awards, etc.), initiatives, and continuing education events though writing and photography published on the department’s website, in its newsletter and social media, as well as through various university channels
- Produce promotional materials (web/print/video) for department programs, including its fellowships, continuing education events, staff events, alumni relations, and clinical services
- Media Relations via writing press releases, coordinating interviews, archiving coverage
- Work closely with Department Chair and Vice Chair on department initiatives and diversity, equity, inclusion programming; ghost writing for both
- Event production including conferences, faculty retreats, and department-wide social gatherings
- Grant research, writing, and editing
- Create and coordinate content for website, social media, newsletter, videos
- Dedicated to professional development by working with the Dean’s communications, newsletter, and social media groups; attending workshops on DEI topics and staying abreast of software developments in Qualtrics, Zoom, Creative Cloud
